This site publishes information about memory, cognitive decline and dementia, and it also sells a screening test. Those two facts sit next to each other, so you are entitled to know how the content is produced and who is accountable for it.
Who writes it
Articles are written by the Memory Exam team, drawing on the clinical practice of the neurologists and clinical neuropsychologists at The Neurology Center of Southern California and on published research.
We use a team byline rather than inventing individual authorship. Where an article is the work of a named author, we say so.
Who reviews it
Health content is reviewed by a named clinician, and the reviewer and the date of review appear on the article. Our reviewers are:

An article without a reviewer line has not been reviewed. We would rather tell you that than imply a review that did not happen.
What review means
A reviewer checks that the claims are accurate, that they are hedged in proportion to the evidence behind them, and that nothing overstates what a screening test can tell someone. Where evidence is mixed, we say it is mixed.
Review is a professional judgement by a named person, not a badge. That is why the name is on the page.
Our standards
- We do not diagnose. Nothing on this site is a diagnosis or a substitute for your doctor.
- We cite what we claim. Where we say research shows something, we name the research.
- We separate evidence from marketing. Claims about our own product are held to the same standard as everything else, and where we cannot support a stronger claim we make the weaker one.
- We correct things. If we get something wrong, we fix it and update the review date rather than quietly editing.

Intraneuron develops and sells the Memory Exam. The clinicians named above are involved with Intraneuron and are not independent of it. We think naming them is still worth more than an anonymous byline, but you should weigh the content knowing that.
Our research is published in peer-reviewed journals, where it is reviewed by people who have no such interest.
